Veggies+JellO=NASTY!

It's wonderfully gross, my dear Stiffy!

What fun!  This is becoming my favorite swap, cause of all the tiny goodness!

Stiffy does it yet again! This woman never ceases to amaze me.

And what on earth is that thing on the back? Yet another tasty aspic recipe involving corn & broccoli?

I don't see broccoli.  It looks like a canned mixed vegetable (think Veg-All) aspic.  With cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and green onions as garnish (and as the only edible items on the plate).

Ah yes! I was just guessing on the broccoli

Yeah.  I think broccoli's a little too high-brow for that dish.  I was surprised to see the green onions!

Edited because I put words in the mouth of amaryllisroze!

Yep, I joined this swap because rackycoo twisted my arm.  All right, all right--it was really more of a slight tap on the shoulder.  I've enjoyed the Altoid tins I received before (from rackycoo and Stifflersmom), but I never really saw myself as an Altoid tin fiend.  After the fun I had making one for Stifflersmom, and after receiving that awesomeness from her (I never expected plates of food sticking off the top!), I think I'm hooked.  When's the next round?   Grin

When this one is finished and it depends on how busy  (how many other swaps I am making stuff for) I am when this swap winds up.

The tin that Bigmouth got from Stifflersmom is amazing! I love the detail in the food, looks so appetizing! The pins are fantastic too. I can't wait to see more of the tins from this swap...I'm working on my partner's now, and I'm pretty excited about how it's coming out.

Oh my, the tin that BigMouth received is stupendous!  But I was trying to de-code/divine what theme(s) you requested..."Jello" or "wacky foods" or what?  Please advise.  Cheesy

Sounds like you just about got it!

Here's the item from my list:
5.  Kitsch food.  I get a kick out of nasty Jello salads, ugly ham casseroles, and the like from yucky 1960s/1970s cookbooks.  I can imagine ham & marshmallows in Fimo, and if you can envision something equally gross/funny, then please be my guest and go for it!  Please don't send me the real thing, though.

Somewhere along the line, someone also reminded me of a funny website on the same theme:  http://www.lileks.com/institute/gallery/spec.html
Turns out Stifflesmom actually owns the book related to that website.  Strange coincidence, no?  She's the first person to tackle that theme in a craft project for me, even though I've put it on many a list.  I'm quite delighted.

Cookies recieved her tin and asked me to post pics.  So, here they are...

I chose a Harry Potter theme.  Here is the front.

And the back...

The inside...

A close up of the yarn glasses...

Among the goodies I made was a "Muggle" necklace.

Other goodies (HP themed iron ons and a magnetic fridge puzzle).

I hope you liked everything, Cookies.  I had so much fun doing this project!
