Many of you may or may not be familiar with the popular massive multi-player online role-playing-game called World of Warcraft, (www.worldofwarcraft .com), but chances are you know someone that is.

A fellow gamer named Bamatick created a pattern to make her own plush murlocs (murlocs are fantasy creatures from the game - more info about them at http://www.wowwiki.com/Murloc) ... her pattern can be found at the following website:
http://www.bamatick.com/gobi/plushMurloc/openSource.html

I followed the pattern and made my own plush murloc out of felt:

You can see all of the images in my photobucket gallery of the process (including a few more finished ones) here:

UPDATE 10/29: I've recently finished "version 2" ... a larger version of this, because I found that working with felt on such small limbs was a bit tough.  Version 2 pics are posted on page 2 - enjoy! Smiley

Can I just say that I HATE murlocs.  They are a real pain in the game!

Though your ones really good.

Theres a WoW swap going on at the moment that you might want to check out.  Though I'm not sure you meet the minimum requirements to participate as you are still a new craftster member.

We ALL hate murlocs, but wouldn't it be fun to make one of these, and chase your friends with it going "mrblmrblmrblgrblgrb l!!!"?

haha, great murloc impression!

I'm affraid only one person that I know would understand what a murloc is, and thats my boyfriend who also plays wow.  My friends would just think I had gone crazy, though most of them probably think that already....lol

Rofl!  Thanks for the comments - my bf actually took an algorithm I created for my own Murloc language translator and coded it for me for use - you can read my article about it and check out the translator here: http://www.pinktoque.com/index.php?p=articles/murloctranslator.php

I'll check into the WoW swap, but ya, I just signed up recently Sad  We'll see!  After I get these moose plushies I'm working on done, I might focus more on some WoW-related creations Wink

Thanks again for the comments!  Smiley

I showed this to my boyfriend, and he messaged me saying "OMG I HATE MURLOCS!  If I saw one I'd punch it."  Heehee.  I think it's cute, but I don't play WoW (it's a bad idea, I'd end up skipping class)
