Okay, if you are my swap partner for the Make Me a Scarf 2 swap (ahem, lelila), and you happen to have popped in here, then stop reading right now if you want to be surprised!

Okay, so I need some help with the scarf I'm making for that swap.  My partner says she's not really a girly-girl, so I went for simple double-crochet with yarn that looks really neat because it's stripey (it's Bernat Softee Chunky in Circus).  However, I'd like to jazz the thing up with some sort of adornment, since it's fairly simple and since she's not a girly girl, I want to steer clear of flowers (unless it's some really awesome funky flower).  I might like to make some sort of pin so it would be detachable, in case she doesn't like it.  Any ideas for (removable) adornments that aren't flowers?

I made a crochet bag for a swap once and I crocheted her initials into the handle. It's subtle, but also looks kind of neat. I can't find the pic at the moment.

You could make snowflakes instead of flowers.

"But why don't you scream now?" Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.

"Why, I've done all the screaming already," said the Queen. "What would be the good of having it all over again?"

Maybe some leaves?  those aren't too girly.

if you know any of her interests, you could do something relating to that. if she likes music- music notes or headphones. if she plays an instrument- the instrument. her favorite animal. her favorite anything, really.
