So many years ago I got my son some marbles, one of which I thought was very pretty.  My then 6 yr old said, "well, Momma, I think you should have it then..." and so it was.  The marble has been in one container or another for about 5 years now with no home of its own.  *poor marble*

Flash forward...I want to make some clay ornaments for XMas gifts and basically just mess around some more with poly clay and so I bit the bullet and bought a clay/pasta machine.  Last Saturday night Alex, my son, and I played for a few hours! making some skinner blends and just playing...  and then...

he came up with this .... a home for THE marble:

and with the marble in it:

of course I love it!!!  And of course it wasn't meant to be a marble holder, it was just the way it was supposed to be!

*happy momma*  Smiley

Cheesy Well then, you can also tell him that I said "Great job. I like the way you added the trim at the top. Keep up the good work!"

Cool !!!  I just love it when clay is used to fit a need too.

(I thought at first you were going to say that he made the marble and its home into an ornament for the tree... it's red too)

Keep us posted on your adventures (and your family's) with clay, and isn't having a pasta machine fun?!
