Silly Dickens - sorry babe, Hobby Lobby's are a southern/ midwest thing. I too feel the loss Smiley
There are JoAnn's and AC Moore's ... smaller but have the same sorts of products and Michaels craft stores. Since I'm pretty new around here too I haven't found all of them but I know there is a JoAnn's in Gateway Shopping Center (Wayne - a little past the KoP mall).  And an AC Moore in Newtown Square. That might be a bit of a stretch for you if you are in school with no car.
I soooo have to get to ewe and I! I haven't been yet. Bad Main liner ... I know.

Hey I just found this thread!
I am pretty new-ish to the area burbs too-living here for about 1 year.

I'm living in Havertown, working in Springfield.

Actually if you know of any cool apartments in the area I would love to hear from you too-my landlord is super-psycho so my boyfriend and I are looking to move at the end or slightly before our lease is up.

I am taking a beginner's knitting class over at Upper Darby H.S. that is about to come to an end. I am definitely looking for other crafty ladies in the area/surrounding areas to do the crafting thing with.not just knitting-i am not discriminatory of any crafting!
Or even if anyone knows of any other cool craft-type classes or groups around here to join.

i just picked up the bizarre bazaar book over at borders last week and it makes me long for an event like that around here....

I'd be up for a crafty get together. What's a good location (for anyone interested)? I'm in Berwyn - but adventurous and not opposed to driving a bit Smiley I knit, crochet, sew, paint, and generally make messes. No craft-discrimination here either, just get really inspired when around other crafty people.

that borders is easy to get to! i think we should have a craft-together there. and there's a coldstone ice cream place RIGHT THERE (i think?) so we can get ICE CREAM, TOO.
