Kitty Vane, your pumpkin made me like, do this ridiculous giggle of joy.

Just so you know.

I started carving my Snow White pumpkin from a Disney Princess pattern book, and only got her face-shape carved before I gave up. I hate how the patterns always turn and stuff. So I free-handed the rest. Sorry the pictures aren't too fab.

This year, in honor of the Where The Wild Thinsg Are movie coming out, I decided to carve a Where the Wild things Are pumpkin... I wound up doing a google image search for a picture from the storybook and I printed it out for inspiration. I then "sketched" the image carefully onto my pumpkin with an x-acto knife. Then I started scraping and carving... Here's some links to my flickr of the final pumpkin, as I'm still a craftster newbie and can't post photos yet:

I did the carving. The kids picked Sam from Trick 'r Treat and my husband picked Jigsaw from Saw

I actually don't watch any horror movies and have only seen glimpses of Jigsaw. I'm a bit freaked out by that one as I don't like clowns or anything that even looks like a clown. I do however love my kids and husband and will suffer for one more night...but then I'm tossing it!
