Thanks! It may be awhile... I have to get some colorwork practice in, so I have Eunny's Endpaper Mitts and then Anemoi mittens on the list. Then I'll do my swatch for Venezia. I'm so excited though! I'm just a little worried about that one pink but hoping that it won't be too bright once it's in pattern. I do wish their site showed the colors better... though I know part of it has to do with the monitors and such, but I ordered the Gloss in Serengeti for the mittens, and it's more of a camel color... I thought it was a very light tan, almost cream!

Here is my very messed up swatch. I think I'm going to switch it so the yellow is with the darker colors and the white is with the light greens, since it's blending too much. And you can't even tell my two light greens apart, oh well. I'm basically doing the same color scheme as the original, I just replaced the blues and greens with all greens.

beautiful!

I need serious commiseration...

Am about 10 inches in and have realized it is way too small.

I will be ripping this evening. Please have a moment of silence on my behalf.

Ouch! I know how hard that must be. What I normally do is just put the piece that didn't work aside, and redo it, THEN rip out. It's not painful when you've already gotten past the part you were before.

What type of needles do you prefer for a project like this?  I usually use Addi Turbo, but I was wondering if they would be too slippery.  Would bamboo be better?  I usually don't like to use bamboo with really small sizes, because I tend to break them, but it might be worth it, because I do not want to be dropping stitches all over the place.
