Oh my gosh, I love it!! It looks fantastic on you! I have to learn fair isle very soon. I have never done colorwork before, so I'm going to do the Anemoi mittens and maybe the Endpaper mitts first.

I've been trying to talk myself out of this sweater since the first time I saw it, but I found myself in front of shelves and shelves of Spindrift yesterday, and I just couldn't resist.  I had so much fun picking out colors, I wanted to share.

I'm calling it "Venezia: The Wild Rose Edition" because I'm that much of a knitting nerd.  Unfortunately I ended up with one ball of DK.  Hopefully I can get the right stuff tomorrow.

Oh, and I apologize if I just missed this discussion, but what are people using for needles?

Edit: You know, I just graphed it out and learned that, as much as I love complementary colors, they make the pattern more busy than I think I want.  I think I'm going to try to exchange the gold and green for browns.  That will be prettier, no?

pretty colors!! i'm a little discouraged with mine, instead of doing the provisional cast on i decided to rib the bottom. Then i started the colorwork and ended up messing up the pattern and dropping stitches. So i put it down for a little bit. I'm trying to finish my deep v vest today before i start on venezia again.

peppersaskatoon, i realy like the colors but it looks like the rose colors will stand out more if you take out the gold and greens and do browns instead.

Thanks for the input, katie_ramone9.  Yeah, warm green and cool pink is one of my favorite color combinations, but I'm really glad I graphed it while the yarn is still returnable.
