The first thing I thought of was this scene from Josie and the Pussycats when Paulo Costanzo hears the subliminal messaging tracks underneath The Pussycats music, and he says "I want a vintage tee... and Heath Ledger". You could stencil a vintage-looking tee with Paulo Costanzo (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0182455/) and that qoute.

Just an idea  Smiley

Speaking as someone who directs Shakespeare plays for a living... if you are getting her a copy of Taming of the Shrew" be sure to get an Arden edition.  (Arden is the publishing company)

http://www.amazon.com/Taming-Shrew-Shakespeare-Second-Paperback/dp/1903436109/sr=8-1/qid=1160848663/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-0719801-7507145?ie=UTF8

It has the best and clearest annotation, and will help her understand the deliciousness of Shakespeare quickly.

(now, I know that other Shakespeare buffs will say, well, no, the Riverside is the best, or the Pelican, and those are good as well.  My personal preference is the Arden.  Their editions have never steered me wrong.)

I don't think they have that edition here - I usually buy the Wordsworth or Penguin Classics editions, both english publishing companies. They're not very comprehensive - but they're only 2.50. I may well get that edition if there would be a of her reading it - she's not a "reader", so I was hoping that if i could presonalise in some way, she would enjoy it more.

Thank you very much for your suggestion! Smiley

Here are a few more good quotes from the movie that could be used for stenciling or something:

"Well, now that you've seen "the plan," I'm gonna go and show "the plan" to someone else".

(Explaination: Kat distracts the teacher/soccer coach so Patrick can sneak out of detention by showing him her "plan" to win their next game....she doesn't really have a plan, so she does the only thing she can think of...lifting up her shirt and "flashing" the whole room full of people). This would be hilarious on a shirt).

"I'm thinking about getting a Tercel. Yup, that's a Toyota"

(Explaination: One of the nerdy characters tries to use this as a pick-up line at the big party)

That's the other one I thought of the other day, and then forgot it before I could get on here to quote, though I was gonna suggest something from the other end of the conversation about misdirection.

A couple of my fav quotew from 10:
My insurance does not cover PMS!
What is it with this chick? She got beer-flavored nipples?

Ms. Perky: So, I hear you've been terrorizing Mr. Morgan's class... again.
Kat Stratford: Expressing my opinion is not a terrorist action.
Ms. Perky: The way you expressed your opinion to Bobby Ridgeway? By the way, his testicle retrieval operation went quite well, in case you're interested.
Kat Stratford: I still maintain that he kicked himself in the balls.
