Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.

Has anyone ever made this? It's from 2008, Interweave Crochet magazine.
The link is to a PDF of the pattern: http://www.knittingdailytv.com/cfs-filesystemfile.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.PostAttachments/00.00.00.00.68/Maggie_5F00_Wrap.pdf

After many adjustments to yarn and hook size, I've made about 15 of the 40 squares I need to make this wrap. I decided to skip ahead to see how to put them together (pages 5 and 6), and am completely STUMPED! Has anyone EVER made this before? Or can you decipher what I'm supposed to do here? I see the points where the squares should be joined, but HOW are they joined? I'm totally confused, and 15 squares in. Will this end up being a spring scarf instead? If anyone can help, please let me know.

Thanks!

I too am totally upset that they are taking the servers down to fix things. Why can't they just let things stay broken? I don't care if I can't move due to lag or if quests are bugged. If I leave my room my mom may make me get a job.
