Very cute, I like how the stitching makes it squish into a pumpkin shape

hey there. i followed the pattern for the "body" part of this cat
http://www.crochetme.com/node/647/ and then i took a piece of the same orange, about 2 yrds, and sewed from the bottom center through the middle, out the top center, in 6 ribs around the sides, to make the pumpkin grooves.

for the stem, i chained approx 10, and sc in each ch, turned and sc in each ch again.

using the tail end of the orange groove yarn, i sewed the stem on.

did that make sense?

i hope so!

I'm making one too! My husbands granny gave me some of her old stash with a bunch of bright orange acrylic in it, and I had no idea what to do with it till now! I'm going to try for a whole pumpkin family... and maybe add some black felt to make some jack-o's!  Cheesy

My little varigated pumpkin. I heard there is a lack of pumpkins here in New England this year because of the lousy weather this summer, so I thought I'd contribute to the population.  Wink
