I have been experimenting with ways to print on fabric and I made this cosmetic purse with fabric I ran through my inkjet printer.  I treated the fabric first with a recipe I have concoted to allow the photo to be as permanent as inkjet ink will allow (I have studied the properties of Bubble Jet Set - yes, very nerdy, I know).  I have already washed it and the colours don't bleed.  YAY  Grin !!!

and the lined inside:

That's great!  Do you tape the treated fabric to paper to feed it through the printer?

Thanks so much for posting your recipe.  I must have done something wrong.  I waited a week before I washed my print and most of it came out.  I washed it in the washing machine with detergent.  Maybe that was wrong but was wandering if you have any hints on keeping the ink from fading out

Yes, you must wash it in cold water and use a mild detergent like fabric softener and only gently wash it by hand.  When you wash it in future, do the same (cold water/fabric softener/by hand).  Wink
