Well if that was a pie,,I sure don't want that little wedge..It looks even worse up on the screen..I was trying to put the cord right trhough the middle of the flower petals..bad idea..I ran out of room before I ran out of wedges.. Grin There are only 5 flowers and I had 6 wedges..I am gong to do this again..i think if I pull it off, it will be pretty..

When I made my first one, I had a heck of a time trying to get the wedges even Tongue  Eventually, I 'cheated' by re-adjusting the partitions (using a sturdy knitting needle Tongue).

Oh, I also had a tough time trying to make sure that the embroidery thread is pulled taut as I formed each wedge Roll Eyes

If any of you have tips on how to counter those two issues, I would love to hear them!

jloveg, just keep trying... you'll surely get it and it will be a beautiful accomplishment!   Smiley

Here is one that I made tonight.  I am giving it to a friend as part of her Christmas present.  This fabric came from my little "remant run" yesterday...

This is the backside... You'll see I created little tags that say "s.e.e. creations" (with Shrinky Dink, of course!) to tag all of my stuff with.  My thought is that maybe someday (*crossing fingers*), people will pay me to craft... ah, what a thought...

Oh, and that's an eyeball in case you can't tell from the blurry shot.

If you're working on a small pincushion, try to wrap for six wedges instead of eight.  First wrap it in thirds, and then go back and split those.  Think of a clock and wrap at 12/4/8 and then come back 2/6/10.  Or, if it's very tiny, use even fewer.

Shimmer413, very nice!  Good choice of remnants.  Your friend should be very pleased.  Smiley

jloveg, please forgive me, but I laughed at your son's reaction to your pincushion.  Wink  Please keep trying, you'll get it.  Like Princess said, post a picture (of the next try?) if you still have, erm, issues, and will try to help you. Smiley
