Thought this would be the best place to share.  I made two pincushions for my Newbie Swap for my wonderful partner, miezimau.

She liked skulls and I also made her an apron to match the pink one.

They really were simple to make, makes me want to make more for other crafty friends.

Thanks!  My only problem is the blanket stitch to close up the hole.  I've never been really good at that.  Luckily you can't see it in the pictures hehe.

I found an online pattern for stuffed apples that I love. The pattern is for a painted muslin apple, but it worked just as well with fun cotton prints. I think they are great for pincushions!
*snip*
You end up with a firmly-stuffed, shaped apple that sits flat. Ideal for a pincushion.  Smiley

Here's the pattern:

Have fun!

This link is broken, as are all the links to the actual pattern on the source website (I found the instructions!).  Is anyone willing to share the pattern with me, please?  I love those apples! =]

Those fish are so cute! Smiley

Checked out the Pincusion swap thread. I'm trying to stick to one swap at a time now, but it is tempting.
