I made my first Hello Kitty clothing item, hence the title, and I'm overly excited about it...

Front

Back

It's just plain yellow because I made the front from this AMAZING cape I found at Value Village. I think it was supposed to be a Halloween costume for a little kid... I'm talking LITTLE kid. The cape (which came with a built-in hello kitty mask) was uber small for me.

ALSO made a skirt, yipee!

Front

Side

From an old t-shirt. Thrift stores are amazing. Took me forever to get it to fit right (I didn't take any measurements, hehe).

Comments are appreciated... let me know if I'm doing anything wrong, these are my second and third recons.

Those are so cute!  My niece is amazing obsessed with Hello Kitty...  she'd love this.  How'd you make it?  The skirt is right up my alley...  and I am not a skirt gal..  Great job!

Thanks so much!

For the shirt, I just traced a tank top with seam allowances onto the two different shirts. Then cut them out, and sewed them together as if it was a simple shirt resize.
