yeah... the prospect of knitting something that complicated for my skill level is a  bit scary...but I'll do my best with whatever I get...

For me, crochet is a ton easier than knitting. I feel much more confidant with it, and it does tend to go more quickly. Since I don't knit well or often, can any knitters tell me about how craft-intensive it is to make gloves? I hope the send-out date will give everyone ample time to craft.

Don't worry, though, Sabertooth Pixie. People's sign-ups have been so similar that pairing people is going to be easy (and thus, I jinx the swap ). Half or more of the participants prefer naked fingers.

I'm really surprised no one thus far wants to receive something like alligator mittens. Or devil mittens. Or dragons. Or bees. Or... whatever. I may have to take out my animal-mitten urges on some other project!

fingerless gloves and mittens don't take long at all, it is when you start adding fingers that it starts getting time consuming.

I crochet, so no idea about knitting, but gloves don't take all that much time. I do one finger at a time, so it's a good project for when I'm tired because to make progress I only have to crochet a couple rows and voilà! a finger appears!
It's instant gratification (way better than chocolate!)

knitting gloves is somewhat more difficult...there are a few stiches that I don't know...but I could probably learn...I think mostly you just have to pay alot of attention...

I was looking through my last few issues of Knit.1 magazine and found some REALLY cute hat patterns though!

I just started knitting mittens (Christmas for my nephews) and it's really easy. I made some crochet ones for myself, and it's really easy too.
