I want to put gold leafing on my body, the cheap stuff you can get at craft stores... but I don't have any real idea for a costume that involves gold. I need suggestions!

Please and Thank you!

You could go as an Oscar statue, or any statue really.

However, PLEASE be sure that it is safe to apply that leafing to your body!!!!  I don't know what it's made out of.  If it doesn't say on the package it might be worth a call to the company.  It might have lead or something in it.

I have an Etsy Shop for my jewelry!

I mean, yeah. I don't want to cover my whole body with it, but I just think it looks really pretty. :-/ Who knows maybe I'll just be Pee Wee like I planned.

I also wouldn't use gold leafing.  I just don't think it would stick to you long enough, or that it would be very comfortable.  (Plus, I think it'd get expensive, compared to other options.)  If you can get to a party or costume shop, there are specific stage makeups made in metallic colors.  Here's a site that has some: http://www.stageandtheatermakeup.com/mhliquidmu.htm

Now, I've never done it, so I can't give the best advice.  But thar you go.  I agree that a statue would be good.  Or you could be King Midas' daughter?

Paint yourself with gold paint instead....cheaper and easier...I would just paint myself gold and then wear a toga, and a leaf halo.
