I LOVE it!

My ears always get cold with a hat that doesn't have earflaps, but that one solves the problem WITHOUT earflaps. And I can never quite figure out how to attach them without making it look very, very obvious.

Where did you get the pattern from? Please.

edited to add: It does NOT look goofy! Well ... maybe a little - right now.
But when the snow is swirling around, you're going to look, and feel, quite comfortable.
Why have you called it a "hunting" cap?

I like the yarn and I like how the front and back are split apart so you can flip one or both up or down. I've never seen that in a knit hat.

thanks!  I actually made up the pattern as i went along, I called it a hunting cap, because the shape of it reminds me of the caps all the deer hunters wear

I gave you a "this rocks".

Any chance of you writing up a pattern? or at least describing how you went about it?

I like that. I'm not sure about that brim thing, but the rest is really nice!

And the girly color added...that's just better!

And yes, I'd love to know every detail on how it was done. I would love to knit this up! Cables are fun!
