so we have these wrought-iron exterior stair railings left over from when we renovated our steps. you know, the slanty kind with the twisted bannisters--not super fancy, but not really boring either. I'd like to use it for some kind of interior decorating project...or something...any ideas?

I guess they're cut diagonally, huh?

All the stuff I can think of involves cutting and welding. Undecided

would be better if you had a picture up so we could see....but  it could be an awsome way to display photos.  you could put the banister in from floor to ceiling against a wall and tie frames to it with colorful ribbon.  another idea would be to use it as a dividing wall, that way it would provide separation without obstructing the view.

get a straight one and make a bed headboard, and then get the slanty ones to go down on an angle from the headboard... so your bed is kind of boxed in and cool.

I'm picturing something like this:

...and wondering whether the whole thing could be rotated 90 degrees, mounted to the wall, and used as an uber towel rack of doom.

yes, they're slanty, like gossamer_gull's pic...but yes! I like all of your ideas! perhaps a towel rack of doom is in order, or a bedrail.

thanks!
