I finally got around to making this pattern (http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/voguepatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.V8251=x&TI=20001& )that I bought over the summer.  It was pretty easy, though the bow thing in the front didn't really work out, so I just tucked it under.  I'd recommend it to any beginner, I think this is maybe the 2nd? thing I've made from a real pattern.

Us in Oz don't tend to work with inches either, but all of the modern patterns that I have used will also have measurements in cm, usually on the right side of the pattern packet that is in French- though the relevant words are in English on the inches side.

The same applies to this pattern, just underneath the first table with inches is the one with cm's.

I love the fabric you chose, it goes so well with the style!
