Mom was about to get rid of a endtable that looked something like the following *sry it's on its side*



Pretty beat up and not too happy looking.  As a end of the school year craft I used my magazines and decoupage glue to turn it into...

i cant decoupage for my life!!! i TOTALLY wish i could and that is so colorful. it must make a great conversation piece

I love it and I think you can take the concept even further by changing out the drawer pulls to something really funky!

Do you have a Menard's or Home Depot?  There are plenty of inexpensive (remember you only need 2!) 2-holed drawer pulls that are simple and sleek...like maybe something in a chrome/silver color?  I'm thinking something like this:

Another option is to use leather laces (maybe braided or twisted).

yeah I'm a magazine junky myself... which is why i love this! I would suggest getting new knobs, too.  The same old gold, old lady handles just don't complement it. but i love this. this is so eyecatching and kewl!
