I would never have thought of that, but that's very true and I'll add that!.

A good friend also suggested "chewing" up hubba bubba with forks and spoons and adding that to the ashtray. There's always chewed up gum in ashtrays.

Here is the final dessert (as presented to the office for our dessert contest).

I'm pretty pleased with the result. I used some food coloring to add filters to the cigarettes. Real ashtrays and gum adds to it as well.

Oh, i totally want to do this for my boyfriend's birthday, but I'm afraid someone will ash in it. but it would still be awesome. I might just do it. awesome idea!

i forgot all about candy cigarettes. i remember when i was little my cousins would come over and bring me packs. i'd sit there eating them and they'd say "no you don't EAT them! you suck on them and pretend your smoking! then when we're big like our moms we can do it for real!"

that is so realistic looking! but could you really eat it? or want to ?? pure sugar with a little cookie thrown in.  put it on cupcakes or something!! great job though!
