Well, a little late now, but a good idea. Flowerpots full of dirt weigh a TON. So you fill your pot at least half full of styrofoam packing peanuts! Cuts the weight in half, so you don't get a hernia moving the darn things.. Plus it's excellent drainage material.Have to thank my brother in law for that one. Wish he'd told me a few months ago, whenI did a big planter for my parents. It was their 60th anniversary, and I had so little money, plus they're trying to winnow down belongings. I planted it with 60 flowering bulbs, about 4 different kinds. It was a hit. But boy, was it hard to move!  This is my first post, I kept hearing about crafster in books-alternacrafts, Tease(a tshirt book, that!). Yes. Leah, I will get your book when I can afford to buy instead of borrow! Been lurking awhile, I'm in awe of all the crafty genius. Looking forward to warm weather again, so many ideas on this thread to try.

It's never too late (or too early) to talk gardening - it's always gardening weather somewhere in the world!   Grin

And if you don't have styrofoam peanuts, a smaller, plastic container, turned upside down inside the larger pot will do the same thing (old, yucky plastic flower pots are great for this).

Your container sounds like it was beautiful, bookstorebabe!
