Not sure if anyone else has had a similar issue but...

Sometimes in swaps, I find it hard to distinguish what the size of the items I'm sending are despite the numerous guidelines in place.  if possible, would it be OK to PM some pics of the items to the organiser or a swap mod and get them to suss things out like whether i should make more stuff or would this be unethical to let someone see my partners items before they receive them?  obviously i wouldn't show my partner and it's hard to discuss it with a partner in some detail without ruining the surprise.  Huh

thanks,

- Anna Smiley

I've had a couple of people PM me to ask if they could show me some of their items as the swap was their first, I've felt honoured! It's nice to have a sneak peek Cheesy

I've also done the same with people I PM or email reguarily, we've shown each other what we are making for our partners and gotten advice and whatnot. I did the same in my first swap, I PMed another lovely gal (who is also an Australian and we were in the my country doesn't have that swap) to have a look at my items and see if I was sending enough etc.

I think it's fine for you to show anyone your stuff before you send as long as it's not in the public forums Smiley

i dont think it would be out of line to pm a sneek to the organizer to gain reassurance about your package....

But some people do put it in the public forums too.  Is this not allowed?  I mean, they put the "spoiler" disclaimer in the title, so I guess it's up to their partner not to look, but wdyt?

Whoops, I should have kept writing after that, lol Wink

I don't think there is any rule against posting them in their respective forums (?), I personally don't mind if they have a warning in the title and my partner has let me know so that I don't accidently stumble upon it. Smiley

It is so hard not to peek Tongue

hahah I would peek, I am terrible at surprises!!!  Grin

But I think the PMing idea is a good one, I have often wondering if I am sending enough/ too much etc!
