That is a loong story. First, I am a painter by trade so the drawing part was easy.
I had used knitpro before to try and change some existing paintings to intarsia charts..but alas, the range of colors was too wide.
I went ahead and used that service for these and then went through the long process of changing the colors that needed changing to make the knitting doable ( or MY opinion of doable!)
I got rid of all the pinks instead of reds, greys instead of definite blacks and white...browns and tans where orange is all that's needed. I did it square by square...the quickest was the pear..taking only a couple of hours. The lady and flowers took about 10 hours to complete.
Glad you like them..chaeck back because I love making them and plan on doing more....all will be free, unless someone were to want something special drawn....and even then, if it seems like something that would be appreciated by more than one person, I would probably do it free...so long as the requestor has no objection.
Example..a request for cherries...I would do it free..a request for your dogs portrait..that is a commission.
