I'm just going to try and incorporate what I think is the main "message" of the card-that will be difficult enough working in such a small format!  It will really be some crazy deck we end up with, I'm thinking of naming mine I don't know-the creativity deck??!!  I'll have to think on that some more Cheesy

Maybe when we do the Fool we can also do a box to hold the cards in as an added bonus.  I would love to have mine in a special container.

I'm also going to try and incorporate the main message of each card, and I'm going to start googling the messages of each card, and see what the different sites say and see if there's something in a phrase that truly "pops" out with me.

I'll also be making my own deck, it'll be great for me to finally get off my buns and do this myself.

With the Fool card, I wasn't thinking of a box really, but more of a fabric book (I'm a sewer too) but if whoever I get partnered with would like a fabric book to hold the cards, I'd be more than happy to try to make the box with the Fool card.

I'm thinking of a title along the lines of "Viewpoints of Tarot"

I love the idea of making a container/book/box for our cards along with the Fool!

My very first Tarot deck was a Vampire set...all the meanings I originally learned are a bit brooding and steeped in 'blood and darkness is life' type symbolism Cheesy  I plan to do just what you guys seem to be doing: try to capture the basic, main meaning of each card.  Where I go from there...who knows?

And I didn't mean to freak anybody out with my over-thinking, alteredmommy!  I can get a bit obsessively analytical about things.

ok, i want in. i'm going to send my swap info in a second aliastriona. one question, we are all making these the same size, right? i'm a bit of an atc newbie but i'd like cards that could fit in say, a box, all together.

I'm loving where this is going.
I'm also going to try to incorporate what I've learnt (my first deck was the Art Nouveou (sp?) Tarot), what I'll google and read (working in a bookstore has its perks) and, I think, some of the interpertations in the Osho Zen Tarot, which I have and adore...
I'd love for us to also make a box/ book thingy with the fool card.
I'm so glad this is happening!

(I'm also really glad I can think of myself as one of the starters of this swap)

Damn. I just thought about this on my drive home tonight...I'm always a day late and a dollar short!

Ooh. yeah. The meaning is a lot of fun to think up...

My only real tarot set right now is a Lord of the Rings set! (this was purchased pre-movie franchise... just so you know Wink ), but it has a lot of interesting symbolism... and descriptions of scenes/people for LotR to help in understand the meanings.
