So at first I was thinking this would be a total cakewalk...

Now that I'm thinking about it, my brain hurts!

I know, the death card I did for Psyche took me days.   I think I'm goinig to do doubles if I can and build me the deck I always meant to -while I'm at it!   Very cool that we have so many people signed up.

There is a whole ton of stuff that can be worked into these cards!

It's slightly mind-boggling to think about...how deep do you go into the symbolism?  Are you doing a themed or simplistic style?  Do you want to stick to one cohesive style for all the cards you're making?  Are you working from a deck you own or a book you've read or a website you found or your own personal interpretation?

This isn't like we've decided to make cards about puppies or something...there are countless different opinions and beliefs and ideas about exactly what Tarot cards are and why they exist.  This could be potentially crazy-making if you don't have some sort of aim or focus to go on with these ATCs.

Sheesh, I sure do make this swap sounds like a lot of fun Tongue

As for the Fool card, amaryllisroze, we're all working from my nerdy plan at this point.  The Fool is kinda the big card of the Major Arcana, especially if you follow the idea that the other cards are simply steps in his journey.  I thought it might be neat to work through the other Major Arcana cards then do a Fool-only swap to make it special...

...but I'm a big nerd like that and future organizers are welcome to change it all around if they so wish.

That makes perfect sense (the Fool thing)...you probably explain it before this and I missed it.

I mentioned it (and lots of other rambly stuff) in the swap idea thread.

I agree about the fool.

Now you're freaking me out-I hadn't thought of doing one style for the whole set (though that would matter more to me since I would have all of mine,in my fantasy world of double production).  Tarot to me is so intuitive, I have many decks but for me I always end up with my trusty Rider Waite that I learned on many years ago(I just got the radient version which has the same symbolism but way better colour, cool!!)

I'm just going to try and incorporate what I think is the main "message" of the card-that will be difficult enough working in such a small format!  It will really be some crazy deck we end up with, I'm thinking of naming mine I don't know-the creativity deck??!!  I'll have to think on that some more Cheesy

Maybe when we do the Fool we can also do a box to hold the cards in as an added bonus.  I would love to have mine in a special container.
