Hey!  I'm excited - this is my first post!

I made these anatomically correct heart cookies last week, and I kinda wanted to show them off - they were very fun to create, and I think they came out quite nicely.  I made them as a thank you gift for my cardiologist - he thought they were a hoot.

I found this idea in The Secret Life of Food by Clare Crespo, which I am sure is a favorite of many of us.  She also has a website, which details the recipe and techniques.

I think these would also be great for Valentine's Day, or just for someone you love who has a good sense of humor!

I thought someone might have - I didn't go back that far to check - I just noticed her book hadn't been mentioned recently - didn't mean to step on any toes!

The whole book is great, and we used it extensively this summer for an Art Camp for 1st - 6th graders - we had lots of fun with her ideas.

Wow, those cookies would be great for halloween! After peeping at that website I think I am going to try the Flower Pot cake (http://www.yummyfun.com/rflowerpots.html)for a friends birthday. Has anyone tried that yet?

When you did the veins, what sort of technique did you use?  Did you use an icing pipe or the bottled kind?
