I have been selling on ebay for a while now, and although there are some dry periods, mostly I sell stuff with no trouble.  I have sold materials, like leftover fabric and stuff, as well as reconstructed clothing and made from scratch clothes as well.  Keywords are important, as people do searches for diy, hippy, retro, vintage, punk, etc.  If you use those keywords, you get more traffic to your auctions I find.

Pictures are also very important.  Who wants to buy something sight unseen?  So pictures help a lot too.  Plus have fun with the wording of your actual ad, don't just list the particulars and be done with it.  When describing an item of clothing, say how great it would look with a pair of jeans, or a pair of strappy sandals, stuff like that.  I do sell patterns and other craft items when I have no longer any use for them, and that works out well too.

Plus I go to places like Value Village and find stuff that I know will sell, like Hello Kitty stuff and retro things, and then put them up on Ebay too.
