Ok, this half-zipper thing is friggin' AWESOME!!!  I remember seeing a small pouch at a craft fair many moons ago, and wondered where to find a zipper like that.  I just found this thread, ran upstairs to find a zipper, and worked it out.  I can't tell you how pleased I am right now!  It's all I can do to not run to the nearest craft store and buy a bazillion zippers!   Grin
