I love the dress design and the top! As for the top I think it looks identical to the drawing.

Have been watching this thread for a while, and decided to have a play with some watercolours (and acrylics, but not on the fashion doodle per se) this afternoon. The results :

With my construction notes for myself

That's great!

I have no idea how to construct, so I don't do construction notes. Cheesy

I think i've worked out how to make it, with only one seam, other than hemming! I'm aching to try it out, but i dont keep chiffon lying round the house unfortunately! Also not sure how my dying sewing machine would cope with multiple layers of chiffon...

hahaha, that's funny, I have about 30 meters of chiffon here ready to make a chiffony dress!! I have no idea how to sew chiffon though so I don't know where to start!!! nice design though it looks really nice.

Deana I love the blue dress, and the brown one is cute too I really like it! I may have to make one of your designs one day if you don't mind?

Sure, Loukr! I'd <3<3<3 to see these become reality by someone like you that has talent!  Grin Grin As you can tell, I only attempt (or complete) the very simplest of designs.  Embarrassed

The brown top has lots of tummy and hip hiding capacity for a pear figure like mine. The skirt that goes with it, well  Embarrassed lets say it's only 13 inches long, tight, and I'm too old and fat for that sort of thing  Undecided  Not flattering. But the top with a tan pleated bottom mini I made doesn't look too awful bad.  Smiley OMG, it's amazing what flares and pleats can do for my look!

Hunny, why don't you draw your food doodles as they would appear on front of a t-shirt? I think that would be fun! Cool

Yesterday I was bored and made a spaghetti tank from a t-shirt that had a hole near the top. I took a blouse, made it sleeveless, and used the sleeve fabric to trim the tank to make a matchy combo. Maybe I'll doodle something in front of the tank...Maybe using Loukr's wartercolor technique. Wink

I don't design my own clothes but I thought you guys might enjoy what I do design clothes for. Pixel art! Here's my original sketch:

And here's what I did with it:

If you've never played with dolls(or dollz) or pixel art in general then this sort of thing may be new to you but basically it's a lot like old school paper dolls. You get a template and draw the hair, clothing, accessories etc pixel by pixel. I use mspaint which comes standard on most computers. THis template isn't mine it came from neko of unreal designs so I have to give her credit. Smiley I have however made my own templates but this is one of my favorite designs. Smiley
