PinkyK- I'm in Tampa! Could you give me the name of the glass shop and maybe the street that it's on? Thanks!

It is Delphi Glass. I'll call my mom and see if she knows exactly where it is. She also lives in St. Pete and refers to anything in Tampa as "over the bridge" as if it were OZ or something! So don't count on me for the best directions.  Wink But she says it is great!

They have a really good web page and catalogue too.

You live near Delphi Glass?  *swoon*  I just got an order from them-- they are wonderful to deal with!  And they have a huge variety of stuff for all kinds of glass mediums!

Got this site from another member, and ordered some items. They ship fast, and have some great prices on quality glass and supplies.

I just ordered a kit to start flameworking! I am so psyched! I'm counting the days till everything gets here! Oh, and to stay relevant to the topic, I ordered from
www.cathedralstaine dglass.com
their prices seem reasonable. I noticed they had stuff for mosaics, stained glass, and fused glass as well. I will let you know how the shipping and all goes once I get my stuff. WHEE!! (thats me being too excited for words  Wink )

I went to a new glass shop today in my little 'ol town that I had no it even existed!
.....(snip)....
It got me thinking... we should compile a list of your favorite glass shops!  They can be brick and motor (you know a real live shop) or web sites.

So post em if you got 'em!

So ummm.... Aren't you ever gonna post what the glass shop in yer little town is called? I mean, it's what made you start the thread & stuff, so it's relevant, no?
I know I'm beyond late replying now since you posted that almost 2 years ago, but oh well... I just can't read a post like that without going a little bit mental not knowing...   Tongue

Anyhooz... I suppose I'd better add something to this thread other than my weirdness, so here's a glass supply shop in my city (Portland, Maine) 'Phoenix Studio' http://www.phoenixstudio.com

This is my local for flameworking. Not only is she a lovely lady and very helpful, she has everything you could possibly need to start making glass beads aaaand she runs classes, both group ($150 for the day) or private lessons by the hour. She also rents out torch and kiln time.
