Cowichan Sweater Help

Hello fellow knitters,
I have been on a quest, actually the quest of all quests, to find a pattern for a Cowichan style sweater (see attached photo). They were rather popular in the 60s I believe.

I was wondering if any of you could help me locate a book or pattern?

<i>Salish Indian Sweaters</i>, by Priscilla Gibson-Roberts. Currently out of print, but probably available via interlibrary loan. I hear a revised edition is coming out in 2007.

Failing that, there's a section on Cowichan sweaters in <i>Knitting in the Old Way</i>, same author, definitely in print.
