Here is a little bag I just finished. It is the first project other than samplers, I have tried...it is so quick and easy to do..

Very nice...love the shape, the color choices, everything.

How big is it and what material is it made from?

Jenne......I know why you love my name.. Grin

I made it from felt. I made it from one 10" and a 10 1/2 inch  felt square....I made the one a little larger to allow for shrinkage on embroidery.. After you embroider it,,, bond your back to your front with wonder under, stitch withchery..that sort of thing.....Then....You just bring the two oppisite sides (corner points.)together right and left as you are looking at them here..., fold and sew....then pull the flap down..then attach a handle and tassels....I am going to put a button and loop on it.  Right now I have a bright yellow stick pin holding it closed... Grin

I laid my handle in, when I was bonding front to back but you don't have to....just attach your tassels with a larks head knot to your handle corners...all done...thanks to Katy J on my embroidery site for the pattern above..

Hope someone makes this..I would love to see different ones..I am making a smaller one next,,,7 and one half maybe..for my emb. scissors..of course you don't have to emb...you can patch or bead or whatever..

thanks for the instructions.  I'm going to make one next week (this weekend is crazy busy with Open Studios).  Have some Ultrasuede that may just be the ticket (or may not, never know until you try.) What kind of handle did you use?

I bought the cord and tassels at Walmart...they are inexpensive  Smiley  The original directions call for making your own tassels and cord but I am short on time..next one I will make my own, hopefully...
