im brainstorming a way for us to still do birthday month swaps without them being unconditional, since those swaps arent allowed anymore.
you can read about it here.

i was thinking you agree to make things for other birthdays in your month?  and then non-birthday gift givers can do so on an personal swap like basis?  we could fill out the questionaire to say please contact me if you'd like to send a card/gift and you arent signed up for the swap.

any thoughts, jesintexas?

I was so sad when I read this.  Sad  But, alwaysinmyroom and I have been brainstorming about it.  There will be a November birthday swap.  I hope to start the November birthday thread tomorrow.

On a happier note, everyone has been receiving such loverly gifts!  That bracelet is gorgeous.  And I could steal that wee turtle.  It's so cute!  There is a turtle pond where I work.  I sometimes count them.  There are so many.   Smiley

The swap mods have been very supportive and helpful--they do have a tough job making the rules and we hate them but we love them, don't we? ha ha

I think jesintexas has followed all the new rules so no one panic--this will work out for all of us to craft for the November birthday babies!!

I recieved!!!  I got a beautifully made card and not one, but two gorgeous scarves from sanditerese !  I chuckled when I read the note because she wrote that she hoped I would get lots of use out of them later on when the weather got cold - and I already had the blue on around my neck lol.  Scarf weather was already here (in my books) about 3 weeks ago, gotta love the Canadian fall - or the lack of one. The blue one matches my fall vest perfectly! The other one is a beautiful white one that is very feminie that I shall wear on my nights out.  As soon as my battery on my camera recharges I will post pictures.  Thanks again sanditerese !!!

I received my gift from sarah- yesterday. I got a really cute Grommet amurugumi from my wists, a cool english flag, cute butterfly fabric, purple fabric, a birthday card and some ribbon. (might have forgotten to mention something)
Sarah has promised to post pics since I don't have a camera.

Thank you so much Sarah! Kiss

I got three packets of deeeeelicious stroopwafels and two scrumptious Ritter chocolate bars from Robbedbyapickle!!!!!!  YEYYYYYYY!!!!!!

I already ate an entire packet of the stroopwafels, that's why there are only 2 packets pictured... Grin

I love the paper you used for the card, RobbedbyaPickle, where did you get it?  I can't seem to find any cute paper around here that doesn't cost a fortune....

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!  I'm still obsessed with these yummy cookies, so each one is a little taste of paradise. Smiley

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection
