I made this postcard for a swap on postcrossing.com.

The text is from a 1969 issue of Newsweek called "The end of the 60s", and the article I used for this piece is about George Wallace.  I tore it up, mod-podged it to a piece of cardstock, then cut out the teacup, saucer and square shapes and mod-podged them to the background.

Then I covered the whole thing with a coat of varnish to seal it and unify it -- everything has the same finish this way.  I glued a piece of blank cardstock to the back that I wrote on when I mailed it -- this made it thicker and hid the varnish I accidentally slopped on the backside!
