DFW Craftsters Meet, Greet, and Swap!

I know what you mean...I was given a homemade spindle that was too heavy for most spinning, but I did learn to spin on it anyway.  (I kept it for heavy-duty yarns.)  Then I made myself a top whorl CD spindle (look for instructions on-line!) and it works great!

Though, my spinning wheel is kind of the light of my crafting life, so I don't use the spindle much anymore!

It was only me and Wootwoot, but we both had some nice conversation and got some crafting done. Missed everyone!

Oh, geez!  I am so sorry that I bailed!  I had that dye day down in Grandview, Texas.  I left at 1 p.m. from that (since I had planned on following Chel and was waiting for her yarn to finish 'cooking'.)  Anyway...she decided to go look at house they might buy instead, so I was just going to go myself. 

I started out (1:15 by this time) and I realize that my sugar was getting low and I was feeling quakey...so I stopped to get some bar-b-que to go at the roadside bbq place (and a quick trip to the ladie's room).  I did that and then it was 1:40 and I wasn't even to Alvarado yet!  I really needed to eat quickly so I just turned back around and went back to where they were dying the yarn.  I ate half of that huge-ginormous chopped bbq sandwich in about 5 minutes!  I started feeling better, of course, but felt horrible about missing the Craftster meeting!!!  I didn't have anyone's phone numbers on me at the time, so I couldn't get a hold of Sara.  If I had thought about it, I would have used the ranch's internet to find the number to The Scrapbook Pad and let you all know that way.

Anyway...so sorry!!!  I have never missed a meeting like this before in my life!  And they are so few and far-between, too.  I had stuff to give y'all, WootWoot and OY...so maybe I'll just have to save it for the next meet-up.  Or...PM me...we can always just get together on the fly!

  I'm sorry you weren't able to make it, RM, but OriginalYouth and I did have a nice chat and some nice uninterrupted crafting time.  Hopefully I'll be able to come to the next one.

Ha-ha!  I read my sentence above and it's like, TOTALLY!  Hahahaha.  I'm still stuck in the 80's today evidentally!

Sorry I missed it - this is my first missed one too - I did get some yard stuff done but I did cave and read my copy of Harry Potter all night so I was useless today - but did get my swap cards sorted and they are ready to mail monday - all 73 envies that took several hours.

didn't get any art done except for one swap though. will have to to get caught up again after work monday.
