I'm making a hanging for my future FIL's office, and I could use someone who's a little more fluent in German to let me know if I've gotten this proverb right:

Schadenfreude ist die schnste Freude (denn sie kommt von Herzen)

Also, I was going to just type this up and create a chart for it myself, but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if I can help it, so a pointer to a good blackletter font chart would be a big help, too.

I think it's correct, but I never was any good at the der/die/das stuff. Try going to the German/European board, and ask there

"just keep crafting, just keep crafting"

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

Looks good to me, at least as far as the der/die/das goes. Except as far as I remember schadenfreude is bad, isn't it? It's been a while and I was always better at grammar than vocab.

Schadenfreude is the most superb kind of joy (since it comes directly from the heart).
