I'm always finding out about awesome flea markets and garage sale type things after the fact. I'm starting this topic as a place where people can find out about these things BEFORE they've happened.

For instance, this weekend I missed a what I was told was a great flea market at the fairgrounds.

And I discovered driving by the fair today that there is a YMCA Garage Sale going on as we speak. I haven't been yet but those are usually pretty good. They sometimes charge you a few bucks to get in though.

Is it the one behind that antique store?  My boyfriend got some broken guitars there which he has since modified into the "shit-tar" and some other "tar"...

Have you been to "AXEMAN"?  I think it is on University in St. Paul.....what a facinating place!

Axman is the best...I need to go there and get some jars for my button collection.  I have this vision of a line of jars filled with a rainbow of buttons--like a candy store!  Yum.

I'm hesitant to advertise my favorite crafting thriftstores...I have two good ones in St. Paul I'd be willing to divulge in exchange for info on good thrifts in other parts of the cities...  or better yet we could have a Craftster field trip.  Would anyone be interested?

Does everyone know about Artscraps on Selby?  Another wonderland of crafting goodness, and just an all around fantastic non-profit...they do workshops with kids and things like that.

And the Textile Center annual fabric garage sale should be coming up sometime soon here...

I LOVE Ax Man. That goodwill-by-the-pound place on University can be good too.

Oh, I LOVE artscraps! My mom used to take us there a lot when we were kids and the "fill a grocery bag" was still only $1. How times have changed Sad
Has anyone ever gone to the citywide garage sale in Champlin? It's in May, and it may just be my favorite "holiday". My aunt and my mom and I go to probably 35-45 garage sales that weekend every year! It's crazy the kind of stuff you can find for practically free!
