Hi!
This is the first challenge I've taken part in and it's been great fun so far. Cheesy

This is Ursula, she's a leading robotologist and she has been working with robots and electronics for years and years. Ursula is currently working on a robot that will look and act just like a real bear.
She has a PhD in science, electronics, robotics, mechanics and bizarrely enough, in cookery.

Ursula is made out of toffee coloured corduroy and she's been stuffed with rags and polyfill. She has a button for a belly button and her eyes and nose have been embroidered.

Her labcoat is made out of cotton and it has little decorative buttons on it.

I apologise for the not so good quality of the photo, the sun had already started to set by the time I got to taking photos of Ursula and so the lighting in the work room wasn't the best possible.
I re-did the photos today, with better light and less of a rush. I also took some additional shots of the details.

And for those who might be wondering, yes the electronics around her are actually recording equipment I borrowed from the boy for this shoot. Smiley

I know. Next time I'm making a bear, I'll most likely make the ears a teeny bit smaller. The poor thing does look a little mousy as it is. Smiley

Thank you. Smiley
The belly button is my favourite thing in making softies, since it looks cute and I'm such a sucker for word play like that. Cheesy

Yup, I drew up the pattern myself. Since the rag-pets don't have a neck or shoulders as such, it's best to draft patterns from scratch. I was also lucky to find the fabric in my hoard, as it's pretty much the same kind of fabric that's used for actual labcoats.
You're very welcome, I'm glad Ursula has inspired you to make your own "lab assistant". Smiley

This is so adorable- you did a great job. This may sound weird, but the thing I like the best is her posture. There's something about the way her little tummy sticks. Maybe it reminds me of me. Anyways, your Ursula is awesome!

She's about 45 cm (I think that's about 18 inches) tall from top to toe. Smiley

Aww! She's so sweet! What brand is her blusher? (or rather, what did you use to make her blush?)
