I second the roses and leaves vote! It's a beautiful top and might be easy to pair with something.

They both are amazing, and you are an amazing friend/sister (i need to reread the relationship here) for even thinking about it. Good luck!

Once upon a time, when I thought I was getting married, I planned to make Rowan's Butterfly (you know...) out of laceweight wool and wear it over a very simple long dress.  I thought it would be pretty.

Annie Modesit's corset would make a nice wedding dress top, http://www.modeknit.com/silk_corset.html.

I was browsing through Calista's etsy shop, and found this AMAZING knit top she made!  It's only a top, but I'm sure if you're good enough to knit an entire dress you can come up with a fancy bottom!

here's the link:

oops, should've looked at previous posts!  This top has already been posted... Smiley

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

Man, I'm such a slow knitter I'd have to start years in advance to knit an entire dress :-)

But, this site: http://www.castoff.info/wedding.asp  did an entirely knitted wedding!  Too cute!
