can I ask why?

Honestly, I'm just not on the site much anymore.  I don't have the time to peruse the threads of my old friends here, and pretty much just check the hot new topics and my PMs once a day or so.  All I am pretty much making now is ATCs, and, since I'm not really swapping them here anymore, it just doesn't seem to make sense to keep sharing them.  I guess part of this was sealed the other day when I posted the new thread with ALLLLLL the cards I'd made over the weekend, and I got only one handful of responses. Sad If I had more interest and feedback, I'd probably stay around a bit.  I guess I am being more high maintenaince.

I'm still a Craftster girl at heart, but have been putting my energies into just ATCs.  I can join and host 20 swaps on another website with the same energy it takes to participate in 5 swaps here.  It's just that the swap policies are set up differently, and different methods yield different results.

Many times I volunteered to be a moderator here, but was not needed.  If I had stayed on at this site in that way, I'm sure I never would've gotten distracted by other ATC sites.  I still stayed here, helping newbies and setting up swaps and trying to contribute as much as possible, but found roadblocks when trying to actually swap the cards.  When I finally found another website to trade, Craftster got the 'okay' for ATC personal trades, and, by then, I had already set up shop at another website.

I am very grateful that I found out about ATCs here, and love the cards I got from the swaps here.  I still plan to lurk around a bit, and join a journal page swap or post a quilt or something every now and then, but I am not going to try to participate in discussions, post my cards, or try to help or swap here much.  I'll be swapping mostly at www.IllustratedATCs.com, and continuing to swap at www.ATCards.com as well (at least in the meantime).  Find me there if ya need me.

I guess I've just moved on.  I just actually decide to let you guys know, instead of just leaving (like we know some other people do).

Thanks for the memories! Wink

I understand, hon!  I'm kind of getting sucked into other things right now as well and really only have one semi-frequent notification from Craftster coming through to my email right now.  Unfortunately, that is YOUR ATC thread.  So, there ya go.  No more regular updates from you now?  That will make me sad.

Keep in touch!

Hugs,
RM

This makes me sad Cry  I have learned a lot from your cards and just know I could learn so much from you.
But I am happy Cheesy for you, because I know that you also have things you want to try and learn and are going off where you can do that.
I hope you stop by once in a while- maybe you will still come help vote at the atc challenges?

"Stressed" is "desserts" spelled backwards.

Your sharing with us was a gift and an inspiration, and personally gave me a boost to dump stuff that need to be worked out of the system into creative efforts.

I will be sure to keep an eye on your work in the other sites, and am sure you will keep up with the amazing work... *eerily stalks OY all over the web*

Thanks for the kind words and promises to 'stalk me'.  Shocked

I'm just doing more hand drawn art lately, and there isn't as much interest here for it, nor people to swap it with.

I will still check in and post some new cards each month, and vote (and maybe occasionally play in) the ATC challenges.  I just will be looking at a month basis, instead of a few new cards a week.

Eventually my goal is to get my booty in gear and make more stuff to SELL, instead of just giving it all away. Smiley  It's funny, last year when I found out about ATCs, my hubby was like, "Well, can't you SELL those?" and I said "sure, but they don't go for much, usually only $2-$10 for most of them."  Well, one year later and I've made 500+ cards.... That extra $1000 might have come in handy!  Not to mention the amount I spent on postage....  Shocked

Oh well.  I may just have to FORCE myself to take an ATC break soon, and fill an Etsy or something.  Maybe I'll even get in gear and work on my own website, and just start a blog to post my latest stuff there.

Dreams.... Cheesy

well pooh - I keep meaning to post more here and there but I just run out of time so I understand for sure. - I spend my time between here and that other site and if I wasn't stuck at work all day bored to death I'm not sure I would be there or here near as much. and with another 3rd site thrown into the mix for you  Shocked
I know it does eat up time.

An understandable, and very very familiar, sentiment...guess I'll just have to harass you at that other site Wink (but not the other other site, cause they don't want me Tongue)
