OY, you're eeeeeeeeevil. Ever since you posted to the TipTop Doilies thread that you made new cards, I kept refreshing my replies.

I like the bottom two best! These are really great! Love 'em!

This is for the everybodies! ART for people without fancy supplies or artistic edumacations.   
I am not demeaning fancy supplies, just trying to encourage others to MAKE ART with what you HAVE.  No whining for prismas or bristol board.  Stop pining for another Jo-Ann's coupon and just make art with what you have.

I made these tonight with my 4 year old.  We used the same supplies:

-Blanks made from cut up Christmas cards.  Shiny white cardstock paper.
-Washable Crayola Water Colors
-Crayola Markers, Crayola Mini stamper markers,
-Bic Pilot black pens
-Black and White paint pens

This one isn't a true walk-through, but it does show 3 steps I used on these cards....that's all the self-control I have to scan in between.   I don't really work in a certain method (of any proper way) I just keep adding stuff til it 'looks done'.  Sort of the way I cook, actually.

Step one: Completely random doodling with watercolors.  No sketching, planning, rhyme or reason....just go for it with some all star 'washable Crayola watercolors'. 



Step Two: Break out some fine point pilot pens (you know, from the office supply store) and crayola markers and start adding some detail.


Step Three: add finer lines, more contrast (with black and white) and details. DONE!


So, for those of us you who are (like me) poor for real art supplies, no more whining.  Just make art.
