I love arm/hand warmers, but part of the problem when it gets really cold is that they don't cover the tips of your fingers, thus leaving them to turn into little ice cubes. I love to pull my fingers and tumb into the hand part, so I knit 2 or 3 extra rows on both the hand part and the thumb. That way my fingers are free for stuff, but when they get cold I can easily pull them in. Smiley

Okay I just finished the pair. Here is a picture:

I seamed the second one from the other side this time. It's not perfect, but it looks better than the first one. The cables really are centered, they moved around while I was trying to take the picture.

It's funny how we both happened to have similar yarn for this Nymeria!

I was going to try that but I didn't have the right size dpns and I didn't want to buy them just to make one armwarmer. The pattern called for them to be knit on straight needles and then seamed so I assumed they knew what they were talking about.

I still like them and it was fun being a part of this knitalong!

Could have, but I don't like working in the round on small projects like arm warmers and stuff (I'm not keen on socks and gloves for that reason either). I don't mind larger projects like hats and sweaters but small stuff drives me batty.  Tongue
