I found this pattern at Lion Brand of all places: http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60159A.html?noImages= (you might have to register to view it -- it's quick and free). Just a simple pair of cabled, loooooong arm warmers for those of us who like to wear t-shirts until the bitter end of warm weather.

I'm using Caron's Simply Soft "Toasted Almond" because it was what I had on hand. Anyone else up for a quickie knitalong? Cheesy

Update:
Okay I have my first one done, I am using Caron Simply Soft in "Bone".

I am going to try to do the next one in the round, I HATE how the seam looks on the other side. If it goes well, I'll make a bunch for Christmas gifts!

Here is a picture of the seam. I think it looks uneven because the pattern decreases as it goes toward the hand. I've sewn plenty of seams in my knitting projects with great success. I sewed this one very neatly (I thought) and it still looks bad!

I can't imagine buying cashmere yarn (which is what the pattern calls for) and ending up with a crap seam like this in it.

oooh yea i see what you mean.  it looks odd having the front so beautiful and the back soooo.....cheapy looking.  not saying you're horrible at seaming.....just that the pattern really should have been written in the round.  thanks for posting that pic...now i know i need to break out my circs!

Ya know, I was wondering about how the seam was going to turn out. It's not as "clean" as I would like (pattern-wise), but I don't mind it too much. People should be looking at the keen cable work anyway, right? ^_^;; Hopefully I'll finish my first one tonight and can post!

That looks beautiful in that bone color!! Cheesy

Here is the right one in Caron Simply Soft "Almond" :

You can see I kinda jacked up one of the cables (watching "Without a Trace" while knitting often leads to slight mess-ups, lol)

Sooooooo warm and soft! You can kinda see that my seam looks like Dansk's. I think she is right about the pattern decrease.

Now to start the left one!

That color is pretty! I agree with how soft and cozy this yarn is. Everytime I walk by my completed arm warmer I want to put it on!

I like how yours covers more of the thumb and fingers.

Hopefully I will get to my second one next week.
