Ongoing Fibre/Fiber Swap - Finished

Hi fiber fanatics.  I was wondering if anyone would be interested in some raw Tunis wool.  It'll be straight from the sheep.  It's time to sheer and my parents raise tunis and have lots.  I don't necessarily want to swap, just offering up some fiber for grabs XD

Just so you guys know- I don't have a scale, so what I did was compare all the bags I put together to a pre-weighed bag. If anything - the weights are guesses, estimates and probably more generous lots because of that.  hope no one minds...

Also, I have some stuff to put up, but I'm not sure I can, a lot of my stuff has 'but' involved.
I have some angora/merino blend- but some of it needs to be re-cared.
I have some Jacobs wool, but it's just been washed, not carded.
I have some alpaca, but some needs a wash and some just needs a rinse.

Is that ok? would people still be intrested? Not that I'm trying to pawn of crap, it's still good stuff, it just all needs a little work. I'm just short on fibre processing time any more.....

At last I found the time to take some daylight pictures of some fibres and upload them so that I could post them.

Silk/Viscose alone does not (wet)felt, but it can be felted in to add texture. Falklandwool comes from a Merino crossbreed, is really soft and felts easily.

1)  handdyed silk noil.  40 gramms still available.


2) 100 gramms handdyed Viscose. 


3)  60 gramms handdyed Viscose.


4)  100 gramms handdyed Falkland wool.


5)  180 gramms handdyed Falkland wool.


6)  170 gramms handdyed Falkland wool.


7)  30 gramms handdyed Falkland wool.


8 )  120 gramms handdyed Falkland wool.

10)  160 gramms handdyed Falkland wool.


I also have white Wensleydale, Falkland and Merino roving/top (combed not carded) if you would rather dye yourself.

Lexis - I love those vintage little cards! 
Those romney locks would look great in a project with the purple Alpaca and blue/purple Mohair. Can I have 50 gramms of the locks and the mixed coloured bag?

I don't think there's a problem with the fibres needing to be recarded - some people may want it that way.

But the alpaca which needs washing is a different issue.  We have people from 4 different countries in this swap and some of them have strict laws regarding unwashed fibre. (I know that the Australian Customs Dept will not accept fibre which is not washed).

So unfortunately it can't be part of this swap if it's not washed - but you could use it in a personal swap with someone from your own country.
