Making coin purses sounds like a good idea. Yours look really nice. Do you just use a 7inch zipper? I haven't seen any smaller than that...

Novastarlet, I used either a 7" or 8" in those coin pouches and I haven't seen smaller ones so far either, but the great thing is you can stitch across the zipper wherever you want the size of the pouch to be.  In some of the pouches (I forget which one, probably the smallest), I just stitched the sides the width I wanted the pouch to be and cut the zipper excess off when I trimmed the seams.  But don't use your best scissors, cause it tends to "dent" them, if you know what I mean!! Cheesy  And the other thing is to make sure the zipper stays open when you stitch all around the pouch (so you can turn it RSO afterward), but I don't unzip it COMPLETELY because then the zipper head gets caught in the sewn seam making it impossible to close it again.  I hope this makes sense!  If not, PM me!! Pam those are so cute!  I was thinking about making a hobo like that today (great minds think alike, huh?)

and the zippered pouches are cuties.  I tried to do the zippered pouch but for some reason I couldn't get it.  I sewed one of the outside piece wrong side out and I can't figure out what I did wrong!

Thanks, Kelly!  I know what you mean about doing zippers wrong...I only did that about 3 times!! LOL!  But, if it helps, refer to this tut that I used (Thanks much, e.r.i.k.a.!  Smiley):

And I just added a hobo tut the other day:

Hope these help you!! Cheesy

ok so the bag in the pic doesn't look like it has a seam down the middle.  but on your tutorial, it does have a seam down the middle.  on this bag, can you just not see the seam down the middle?  maybe youre just that good at lining up patterns : )

LOL!  Thanks, dogperson!  Actually, there is a seam, the stripes just sort of "hide" it.  In the tut that I followed up with, I did pics from another purse, and you can see the seam more in that bag:

NOvaStarlet: You can get a smaller zipper, the smallest I've seen is 4 inches. I got some from an EBay auction.  I didn't think they came that small before that, I used to just cut them down.
