AWWW!  Thank you so much, Stopit...it brings tears to my eyes too!  Happy ones and sad ones.  Autism is a mysterious, frustrating, joyful disorder.  And I wouldn't trade my special kid for anything in the world.

I know this is completely off topic, but ...One day last week, while in the car, Matt and I were chatting about how smart he is.  It was the first time the word "Autism" came from his mouth.   It went like this..

Matt: "Mom...my brain is special because it has Autisms in it."

Me:  ::::desperately trying to drive through tears:::"sure is, honey"

Matt:  "How many Autisms do you think I have?"  (literal little shit)..

Me:    "Oh, I don't know really, honey, but I'd say about 120" (seemed like a good round number)

Matt:  "Mom...where can we get me some more Autisms"

Me:  :::silently crying::: "You have plenty, my darling"
