Sorry to dredge this topic up but I had to mention the scrabble broach my friend made me a year or two back....
It spelt out EVIL and I wore it proudly where ever I went, until the fated night when I returned home as EVI , after the L fell off god knows where ( i suspect a cleaner at some bar in town was rather confused as to its presence tho) 

They made it, if I can recall correctly, by hot gluing the pieces together and then gluing the pin thingie onto the back. Although they didn't do it to good...

i had the same problem someone mentioned about the tiles cracking when i drilled them lengthwise...so, instead i drilled 2 holes, one on either side, and connected them with jump rings.

it's called, "and sometimes y" b/c i think that's funny.

i just made a really simple bracelet for myself (but don't have pics...yet...), but it's just pink glass beads, and the letter "B" from the scrabble set, b/c my first name starts w/ B. i drilled a hole in the top of the B letter, and hung it from the bracelet like a charm.

i've done this with mah jong pieces. i think they were easier to keep from breaking, but harder physically to drill.

its cheaper to just buy the game and get 100 tiles or find one at the thrift shop. im a scrabble and boggle nerd

Oh I do love anything with scabble pieces.  These bracelets are too cute!

hmm. the only problem I see is that I love my Scrabble game too much to take game pieces away.(I am a Scrabble god.) I think I'll peruse the Sal Army game section the next time I'm there.

If you can't find a used copy (or you want way more tiles than that) you can purchase replacement tiles through Hasbro at this website http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=cs_parts
They have replacement pieces for all the Hasbro products and games (and printable Monopoloy money!)
