All you need is scrabble letters, a drill with a small bit,a small vice, and string. Step 1, choose your letters. I did my name which was too small for my wrist so I added the blank pieces to extend it. Step 2. carefully drill holes through the side of the pieces. This is kinda hard to do without hurting yourself unless you use a vice. Step 3. Once you get the holes through simply string it together on elastic and tada! You may think of a better way to go about the hole making, but that worked for me.

Ooh yes, I've made these before. I had a few problems with cracking the pieces when I drilled through them though, so be careful!

you could try to put tape around the piece before you drill it to try to prevent it from cracking.

hmm. the only problem I see is that I love my Scrabble game too much to take game pieces away.(I am a Scrabble god.) I think I'll peruse the Sal Army game section the next time I'm there.

I purchased my game at an estate sale for $2, couldn't use my Mom's, she would have a fit!

love the bracelet!

i've seen bracelets and earrings made with old typewriter keys on eBay and this seems like a variation thereof (which doesn't require taking apart old typewriters--a thought that brings tears to my eyes).
